Minutes: Dr. George Copeland, Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs, reviewed the rolled-back rate calculation as well as the individual millage levies.

Dr. Copeland reviewed the school district's 2008-09 Tentative Budget which totals $409,138,079.  Mike Elliott, Assistant Superintendent for Support Services, made comment about several changes to the Capital Projects Plan due to the budget shortfall.  

4. Public Hearing for Comments on the 2008-09 Budget and Millages

Minutes: The public hearing was held with no one present to speak to the budget or advertised millages.

5. Adopt the 2008-09 requried local mill levy

Minutes: The time for the final public hearing was set for 6:00 p.m. rather than 7:00.  Following the motion, Superintendent Owens certified for the record the public hearing on the tentative budget and millages was held in accordance with Florida Statutes and the time and place for the final public hearing was set.
